Kosmachuk and Richard each score twice to lead the Storm past the Whalers 4-1

GUELPH, Ont. - Scott Kosmachuk and Tanner Richard each scored twice as the Guelph Storm defeated the Plymouth Whalers 4-1 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Beau Schmitz scored the long goal for the Whalers (17-8-3).

Storm (11-9-4) goaltender Garret Sparks made 34 saves for the win while Matt Mahalak stopped 37 shots in defeat.

Guelph went 1-for-7 on the power play as Plymouth also scored once on six opportunities with the man advantage.
