Koper scores twice to lead the Chiefs to a 6-2 rout over Moose Jaw

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Despite a strong and physical first two periods, the Moose Jaw Warriors stumbled in the third, turning a close and competitive game into a rout as The Spokane Chiefs scored three goals in the third to win 6-2 in the Western Hockey League on Friday night.

Levko Koper opened the scoring and added another in the third for Spokane (15-7-0-3), which also got goals from Drayson Bowman, Mitch Wahl, Seth Compton and Stefan Ulmer.

Quinton Howden and Jason Bast replied for the Warriors (7-15-0-1).

James Reid of the Chiefs stopped 27 shots to earn the win, while Moose Jaw's Jeff Bosch made 23 saves.
