Koekkoek scores four points to lead the Petes past the Colts 7-4 @NHLdotcom

BARRIE, Ont. - Slater Koekkoek had a goal and three assists as the Peterborough Petes defeated the Barrie Colts 7-4 in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday.

Andrew Yogan and Alan Quine each had a pair of goals for Peterborough (11-6-3), while Matt Puempel and Stephen Nosad added singles.

Aaron Ekblad, Tanner Pearson, Mark Scheifele and Victor Terreri scored for Barrie (8-8-3), who has now dropped four straight contests.

Colin Behenna scored a pair of assists for Barrie, moving into a tie with Pearson for the league lead at 25.

Andrew D?Agostini turned aside 35 shots in the victory.

Barrie?s Mathias Niederberger made 30 saves before being pulled. Rookie Alex Fotinos, making his OHL debut, replaced Niederberger and stopped four of the five shots he faced.

The Petes were successful on special teams, going 1-for-2 on the power play and adding a short-handed marker. Barrie also went 1-for-2 with the man advantage.
