Knights take over first in western conference with 3-2 win over the Sting @NHL

LONDON, Ont. - Seth Griffith and Matt Rupert scored in the shootout to lift the London Knights over the Sarnia Sting 3-2 Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League action.

Dane Fox and Andreas Athanasiou scored in regulation time for the Knights (13-2-1).

Taylor Carnevale and Ludvig Rensfeldt each scored for the Sting (11-2-3).

Michael Houser stopped 30 shots for the win while Brandon Maxwell made 39 saves in defeat.

London's Nail Yakupov picked up an assist, which puts him first in league scoring with 34 points in 16 games.

The victory also put the Knights two points ahead of the Sting for first in the Western Conference.
