Knights score three times in first period to beat Otters 4-3 @NHLdotcom

ERIE, Pa. - The London Knights scored three times in the first period as they defeated the Erie Otters 4-3 Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Brett Welychka, Olli Maata and Chris Tierney each scored in the first period for the Knights (15-2-1) and Vladislav Namestnikov added another in the second.

Greg McKegg scored two goals for the Otters (3-13-0) and and Brandon Connor had a single.

Michael Houser made 31 saves for the win while Ramis Sadikov stopped 33 shots in defeat.

London was held scoreless on the power play, going 0-for-4, as Erie scored twice on six opportunities.
