BUFFALO -- Hey everyone! Being at the NHL Scouting Combine in Buffalo so far has been an unreal experience. From meeting with teams to seeing all the guys here, it's all been pretty cool.
When you walk around the top level suites at First Niagara Center you're passing by 30 NHL teams and it's all starting to come full-circle here. But you know, anything can happen and nothing's guaranteed. It's definitely getting everyone excited for the draft.

Hockey's taken me to a lot of places and let me meet a lot of people. Last night I had dinner with Jesse Puljujarvi. He'll be the third overall pick or somewhere, top five I'd say, and it's just pretty cool. I got to meet up with a couple friends who I used to play with overseas and just hang out with them. They're people I don't usually get to see and to have them here in Buffalo is awesome.

It's not just about hanging with my friends here though. I've had interviews with a couple teams already this week and you just have to be yourself when you go through them. Once you get past that they're NHL teams, it's just a conversation with some people. That's all it is.
This season with Dubuque, I thought I started off pretty slow, but once I got my butt in gear I thought I played pretty well throughout the season. I always wanted to do more, but that's just an athlete's nature. So you know, you're showcasing yourself in the interviews, as well as the testing, but it's just about personal development with the testing, I believe. If you can only do four pull-ups here, next time you do them you've got to do six.
Thanks for reading, everyone! I'll have another blog after testing on Saturday. Wish me luck!
