REGINA - Morgan Klimchuk and Lane Scheidl each had a goal and two assists Wednesday to help the Regina Pats beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 5-2 in the Western Hockecy League.

Regina (8-11-1) also had one goal each from Adam Rossignol, Colten Mayor and Luke Fenske, while Adam Brooks picked up two assists.

Shea Theodore and Justin Hickman replied for Seattle (8-9-1).

Matt Hewitt made 43 saves for the win, while Justin Myles stopped 17 shots in defeat.

Regina led 2-0 after the first thanks to Rossignol's fourth of the season and Mayor's seventh, a wicked wrist shot into the top corner.

Seattle erased the deficit five minutes into the second after back-to-back power-play goals. The first came off a booming slapshot from Theodore, before Hickman tucked a shot under the crossbar.

But Regina got the goals right back thanks to Fenske's second of the year followed by a power-play goal marker Scheidl, his ninth goal of the season.

Klimchuk then finished Seattle off midway through the third with his ninth of the season.

Seattle went 2-for-5 on the power play, while Regina went 1-for-3.
