Kitchener wins sixth straight, downing the Wolves 3-2 in overtime @NHLdotcom

KITCHENER, Ont. - Myles Barbieri scored 1:58 into overtime to lift the Kitchener Rangers to their sixth straight win, a 3-2 victory over the Sudbury Wolves in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday afternoon.

Scott Timmins opened the scoring for Kitchener in the first period and Ben Shutron added a power-play goal with five minutes remaining in the second. The Rangers (7-2-0-1) managed only one win in their first four games, but have been unstoppable since then, now tied for the top spot in the Midwest Division.

Patrik Lusnak tied the game for Sudbury with less than seven minutes remaining in regulation to force overtime. John McFarland also scored for the Wolves (5-2-1-1).

Mike Morrison made 35 saves for Kitchener, while Sudbury netminder Andrew Loverock stopped 28 shots in a losing effort.
