It appears as if it won't be much longer before Drew Doughty
is back in action.
The Los Angeles Kings
defenseman was cleared Tuesday night by medical personnel to return to all hockey activities. He is expected to be activated from the injured reserve list and play on Thursday night when the Kings host the Tampa Bay Lightning
at the Staples Center.
Doughty, a Norris Trophy finalist last season, suffered a concussion during a game against the Carolina Hurricanes
on Oct. 20. He has 1 assist and 6 penalty minutes in five games this season.
Los Angeles has thrived despite Doughty's absence. The Kings currently sit atop the Pacific Division at 8-3-0. Tampa Bay is 7-3-1.
