King assists on all three goals as Kootenay takes down the Wheat Kings 3-2 @NHLdotcom

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Kevin King assisted on all three Kootenay goals as the Ice edged the Brandon Wheat Kings 3-2 in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

The scoring went back and forth in the first, with Ian Barteaux striking first for the Ice before Scott Glennie replied for the Wheat Kings with his 27th of the season just over two minutes later.

Kootenay (25-20-2-5) got the lead back 19 seconds into the second period with a power-play goal by Andrew Bailey and Brayden McNabb wired his sixth of the season on a two-man advantage at 13:04 of the second to make it 3-1.

Andrew Clark scored in the third period for Brandon (33-15-3-1).

Todd Mathews stopped 29 shots to get the win while Wheat Kings netminder James Priestner made 21 saves.
