BRAMPTON, Ont. - Patrick Killeen stopped 38 shots to become Brampton's all-time shutout leader with seven and Scott Tanski earned his first hat-trick as the Battalion routed the Sudbury Wolves 6-0 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night.
Tanski opened the scoring nine minutes into the game and doubled the lead for Brampton at 16:36.
The Battalion (22-25-13) then netted another pair in the second period.
First, Stephon Thorne found the back the net at 10:20, cashing in on a generous rebound given up by Sudbury goalie Andrew Loverock.
Matt Clark made it 4-0 on the power play at 13:17, wiring one from the top of the faceoff circle.
The Wolves are now 23-31-5.
Loverock was pulled after two periods, having given up four goals on 22 shots. Alain Valiquette replaced him in the third, giving up goals to Ian Watters and Tanski.
