Kevin Philip's first of the season leads Blades to 3-2 win over Ice @NHLdotcom

SASKATOON - Kevin Philp's first goal of the season broke open a third-period tie and led the Saskatoon Blades to a 3-2 win over the Kootenay Ice on Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.

Justin McCrae and Colton Gillies also scored for Saskatoon (4-10-1-0), while Stefan Elliott added two assists. Steve DaSilva and Dustin Sylvester replied for the Ice (7-9-2-0), who got a pair of assists from Andrew Bailey.

Braden Holtby made 32 saves for the Blades while Kris Lazaruk stopped 26 shots for the Ice.
