Kevin Bailie makes 42 saves as Generals win 5-3 over Niagara IceDogs @NHLdotcom

NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. - Boone Jenner scored a goal and an assist and Kevin Bailie made 42 saves as the Oshawa Generals won 5-3 over the Niagara IceDogs on Thursday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

With just 17 seconds left in the frame, Steven Shipley roofed a shot from the slot after a nifty drop-pass by Myles Doan to tie 1-1 after Lucas Lessio opened the scoring at 6:49.

Lessio picked up the puck in the neutral zone, slipped behind Niagara?s defence, and placed a backhand right through the five-hole of Mark Visentin.

Niagara's Ryan Strome scored a power-play goal from the top of the circles that deflected past Bailie off of an Oshawa defender?s stick to put the Generals down 2-1 early in the second period.

The Generals tied the game at 8:45 when JP Labardo scored his seventh goal of the season by hammering a slap shot home.

Oshawa (8-8-2) took a 3-2 lead when Nicklas Jensen notched a power-play marker with a quick release from the slot at 12:09.

The Generals buried their third unanswered goal early in the third period on an Andy Andreoff wraparound that was too quick for the left pad of Visentin.

The IceDogs (7-7-2) narrowed the score to 4-3 on Jesse Graham's goal, but Jenner ended any doubt about the game???s outcome at 15:29 when he scored unassisted.
