Kevin Bailie makes 37 saves as Generals edge Petes 3-2 in OHL @NHLdotcom

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Kevin Bailie made 37 saves on 39 shots as the Oshawa Generals edged the Peterborough Petes 3-2 in Ontario Hockey League action on Thursday.

Oshawa dominated the first period and went up 2-1 when Andy Andreoff scored on a beautiful top-corner wrist shot from just inside the faceoff circle on the power play.

Sebastian Uvira opened the scored in the first period for the Generals, while Peterborough's Andrew Yogan pulled one back when he slid the puck past Bailie.

Generals captain Boone Jenner broke away shorthanded just under halfway through the third, made a nice deke and slid the puck behind Mike Morrison to make the lead 3-1.

That goal turned out to be the winner when Joey West chipped home a bouncing puck with seven minutes to play.

Morrison was also outstanding for the Petes (6-4-2) with 41 saves.

Oshawa (7-4-2) scored once each at even strength, on the power play and shorthanded.
