OSHAWA, Ont. - Matt Kennedy scored twice and Brandon Foote made 33 saves, leading the Guelph Storm to a 5-2 win over the Oshawa Generals on Saturday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

After the teams exchanged goals in the first period, Michael Latta and Kennedy scored in the second period to give the Guelph the lead for good.

Rookie defenceman Calvin de Haan narrowed Oshawa's deficit to one 48 seconds into the third, but Kennedy, with his second, and Tyler Carroll scored for the Storm put the game out of reach.

Brett Valliquette responded for Oshawa (20-18-1-4) less than two minutes later.

Neil Conway made 27 saves in goal for the Generals.
