Kennedy, Melancon score short-handed as Storm beat Whalers 4-2

GUELPH, Ont. - Matt Kennedy and Tyler Melancon both scored short-handed and Thomas McCollum made 28 saves to lead the Guelph Storm to a 4-2 win over the Plymouth Whalers in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.

Tim Priamo and Peter Holland scored the other goals for Guelph (12-6-1-1).

Beau Schmitz and Tyler Seguin each scored their first OHL goals for Plymouth (6-10-2-0) on the power play.

Matt Hackett made 24 saves in the Whalers' net.
