Kelowna outshoots Chilliwack 40-15 en route to easy 3-1 victory @NHLdotcom

CHILLIWACK, B.C. - Stepan Novotny scored the eventual winner in the first nine minutes of the game as the Kelowna Rockets cruised to a 3-1 win over the Chilliwack Bruins on Friday night in the Western Hockey League.

Lucas Bloddoff and Mikael Backlund also scored for the Rockets (42-21-1-3), who outshot Chilliwack 40-15.

Mike Krgovich had the lone reply for the Bruins (15-46-2-5).

Kelowna netminder Mark Guggenberger made 14 saves, while Lucas Gore stopped 37 shots for Chilliwack.
