Kelowna completes home-and-home shutout sweep of Chilliwack with 6-0 rout @NHL

KELOWNA, B.C. - Colin Long scored twice and Adam Brown recorded his second straight shutout against Chilliwack as the Kelowna Rockets took off to a 6-0 rout of the Bruins in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Blanked 5-0 by Kelowna on Wednesday in the front-half an extended home-and-home series, Chilliwack (5-7-1-1) suffered its fifth consecutive loss and third shutout defeat of the season.

Jamie Benn scored his 11th and 12th goals of the season, while Cody Almond and Dylan Hood also scored for Kelowna (9-6-0-0).

Adam Brown stopped 14 shots in his fourth start of the season for the Rockets and improved to 4-0. The Bruins managed just three shots in the first period and only eight after two.

At the other end, Mark Friesen had a much busier night, making 30 saves.
