SAGINAW, Mich. - Mark Katic's goal 13 seconds into overtime gave the Sarnia Sting a come from behind 3-2 win over the Saginaw Spirit in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.
Despite the overtime loss, the Spirit clinched third place and home ice advantage in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Katic had a goal and an assist and Justin DiBenedetto had a pair of assist to lead the way for Sarnia (35-25-4-3), who also got goals from Jamie Arniel and Brent Sullivan.
Saginaw (36-24-4-4) let a two-goal lead slip away with Tyler Murovich scoring in the first and Mitch Fillman in the second.
Dan Spence stopped 40 shots in net for the Sting while Edward Pasquale made 26 saves for the Spirit.
