Kassian's game winner leads Peterborough to 4-1 win over Kingston

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Zack Kassian scored the game winner and added an assist as the Peterborough Petes opened their OHL season with a 4-1 win over the Kingston Frontenacs on Thursday.

Yves Bastien, Joey West and Brad Gehl also scored for the Petes (1-0-0-0) while rookie Ryan Spooner had two assists.

Andris Dzerins gave Kingston (0-1-0-0) a first-period lead before the Petes reeled off four unanswered second-period goals.

Jason Missiaen, who returned earlier in the day from the Montreal Canadiens rookie camp, made 31 saves for the win. Anthony Peters stopped 32 shots in a losing cause for the Frontenacs.
