Kane, Pierro-Zabotel lead Vancouver to 6-4 victory over Kelowna @NHLdotcom

KELOWNA, B.C. - Evander Kane had a hat trick and league scoring leader Casey Pierro-Zabotel added a goal and three assists as the Vancouver Giants defeated the Kelowna Rockets 6-4 in WHL action on Wednesday night.

Craig Schira and Mike Berube also scored for Vancouver (38-4-0-3), which trailed 3-2 after two periods but erupted for four goals in the third. Kane's three-goal effort gives him 30 on the season, while Pierro-Zabotel now has 82 points.

Cody Almond, Ian Duval, Evan Bloodoff and Mikael Backlund, with his first WHL goal, replied for Kelowna (26-19-0-1), which lost for the fourth time in five games.

Tyson Sexsmith made 20 saves for the Giants, while Mark Guggenberger turned aside 26 shots for the Rockets.
