Season series: Chicago Blackhawks right wing Patrick Kane opened the scoring on a power play at 1:26 of the first period, but the Winnipeg Jets scored the next three goals to win 3-1 at MTS Centre on Oct. 29. Winnipeg goalie Michael Hutchinson made 45 saves. Hutchinson is 4-0-1 with a 1.19 goals-against average and .965 save percentage in five career games against Chicago.

Jets team scope: Hutchinson will start for Winnipeg after Hellebuyck made 37 saves in the Jets' 2-1 overtime win against the Washington Capitals at MTS Centre on Saturday. Hellebuyck is 3-0-0 in three NHL starts and has allowed three goals on 86 shots (.976 save percentage). Winnipeg has won its past two games and three of its past four. "We're getting better," captain Andrew Ladd told the Jets' website. "I think over the last stretch of hockey that we've played, five to eight games, defensively we're getting stronger. We know we have the guys up front who can put pucks in the net. I think it's just a comfort level of playing that defensive game and waiting for your opportunities." The Jets look for their first three-game winning streak of the season.

Blackhawks team scope: If Kane gets a point, he will set the record for the longest point streak in franchise history. Kane has a point in 21 straight games, tied with Bobby Hull. Hull's record was set between Dec. 5, 1971 and Jan. 23, 1972, with 23 goals and 12 assists. Kane has 35 points (13 goals) during his streak. According to Elias Sports Bureau, Kane is the fourth player since 1992-93 to have a point streak of at least 21 games. "If it's meant to be, it's meant to be," Kane said of breaking Hull's record. "I think it's been a pretty good run. I saw Bobby Hull [Friday] night and he seems very supportive of where I'm at right now. It seems like he wants me to get it done, too." Corey Crawford will start in net. The Blackhawks have reportedly placed forward Viktor Tikhonov on waivers. If Tikhonov is removed from the roster, the Blackhawks are expected to recall forward Bryan Bickell from Rockford of the American Hockey League.
