Jovanovski late scratch for Coyotes @NHLdotcom
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Defenseman Ed Jovanovski was a late scratch for the Phoenix Coyotes against Vancouver on Wednesday night, sitting out with an upper body injury suffered in Tuesday's 5-3 loss at San Jose.
Jovanovski finished the game at San Jose and skated Wednesday morning but scratched about two hours before faceoff.
Jovanovski has now missed nine games this season for a variety of reasons -- most recently, he sat out  four games with a lower body injury from Jan. 15-22. He has suffered upper- and lower-body injuries and missed three games over a three-month period with "flu-like symptoms. In 44 games this season, Jovanovski has 5 goals and 14 points.
Michal Rozsival, who has missed the last three games with lower body injury and has missed eight of the 11 games since arriving in a trade with the New York Rangers on Jan. 10, took Jovanovski's spot in the lineup.
