OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Josh Moes scored the game winning goal and added a pair of assists as the Owen Sound Attack edged the Mississauga-St. Michaels Majors 3-2 in OHL action Saturday night.
Marcus Carroll got the Attack (15-19-2-0) on the board early when he scored at 10:58 of the first period, with support from Chris MacKinnon and Josh Moes. Mississauga (18-16-1-0) captain Jesse Messier tied it up at 16:12.
Owen Sound regained the lead when Marc Francini wired a shot into the net at 1:09 of the second period.
The flip-flop continued in the third period when Mississauga's Tim Billingsley knotted the affair at 3:56 on the power play. The Attack took the lead once more when Moes responded with his final goal 16 seconds later.
Chris Carrozzi got the start in net for Mississauga and made 43 saves while Tyler Beskorowany turned aside 21 shots for the Attack. The Majors' power-play was 1-for-6 while Owen Sound went 0-for-8.
