NYI@CAR: Bailey nets tiebreaker in 1,000th game

Josh Bailey's 1,000 NHL game was a big enough accomplishment. The fact that he played every single one with a single team, the New York Islanders, put him in rare air.

Bailey became just the third Islanders player to reach the milstone in a game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, joining Denis Potvin and Bryan Trottier.

His Islanders teammates appeared in a special congratulatory video for the veteran forward, including current captain Anders Lee. Plenty of former teammates also sent their congrats via video, including Buffalo Sabres captain Kyle Okposo, Toronto Maple Leafs captain and former Islanders captain John Tavares, Anaheim Ducks defenseman Travis Hamonic and more.
Former Islanders captain, coach and former Bailey teammate Doug Weight also sent a special message.
Bailey's parents made the trip to Raleigh for the game.

And of course Bailey scored to help the Islanders to a win.
