Jordan's two-goal effort leads Plymouth past Sault Ste. Marie 5-2 @NHLdotcom

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Defenceman Michal Jordan scored twice to lift the Plymouth Whalers to a 5-2 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-2 on Friday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

RJ Mahalak, Ryan Hayes and Tyler J. Brown had singles for the Whalers (1-2-0-0), who scored twice in the opening 2:20 and cruised from there. Jordan Nolan and Jake Carrick countered for the Greyhounds (1-1-1-0).

Matt Hackett turned aside 35 shots to earn the win for Plymouth.

Cody St. Jacques absorbed the loss for Sault Ste. Marie, making 20 saves.
