Jordan Szwarz scores twice, Spirit beat Attack for fourth straight win @NHLdotcom

SAGINAW, Mich. - Jordan Szwarz scored twice and the Saginaw Spirit won their fourth straight Ontario Hockey League game, 6-3 over the Owen Sound Attack on Thursday.

The Spirit strengthened their hold on third place in the Western Conference. With the Saginaw win and Plymouth losing in Windsor, the Spirit increased their lead over the Whalers to four points with two games remaining for both teams.

Jack Combs had a goal and an assist and Jordan Skellett helped out with three assists for Saginaw (36-23-3-4). Kyle Bochek, Joe Pleckaitis and Mitch Fillman added single goals.

Mike Lomas had a goal and an assist for Owen Sound (25-26-7-7) while Milan Doczy and Garrett Wilson rounded out the scoring for the Attack.

Edward Pasquale stopped 28 of 31 shots for the Spirit. Tyler Beskorowany and Scott Stajcer combined for 40 saves for the Attack.
