REGINA - Jordan Eberle scored two goals to help the Regina Pats pound the Prince Albert Raiders 6-2 in Western Hockey League action Sunday.
The win for the Pats (9-9-2) is their third in a row, while the Raiders (10-9-2) lost for the second time in as many nights.
Eberle, the WHL's player of the month for October, scored the lone goal in the first period when he banged in his own rebound on a 5-on-3 power play.
The teams exchanged power-play and even-strength goals in the second. Regina's came from Hampus Gustafsson and Eberle.
Getting Prince Albert on the board was Brandon Herrod, who was credited with a power-play goal after a shot from the point was deflected in front and beat Regina goalie Dawson Guhle. The Raiders other goal came from came from Swedish import Fredrik Cedergren, his first of the season.
Down 3-2 to start the third, Prince Albert came out with some good pressure but let the game slip away when they gave up two quick goals near the midway mark and another with six minutes to go.
Chipping in for the Pats was Graham Hood, Matt Delahey and Matt Strueby.
Dawson Guhle made 33 saves to pick up the win, while Garrett Zemlak stopped 32 shots in defeat.
