Jones stops 31 as Hitmen blank Ice 2-0 for 10th straight win @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Goalie Martin Jones made 31 saves to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 2-0 win over the Kootenay Ice in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

Carson McMillan scored his 20th goal of the season on a first-period power play for the Hitmen (35-5-1-1). Brendan Rowinski then added an empty-net goal with 31.6 seconds left in the game to secure Calgary's 10th straight win.

Kootenay (19-17-2-4) netminder Nathan Lieuwen stopped 26 shots. With 1:22 to go in the third period, Lieuwen made a blocker save to thwart a penalty-shot attempt by Calgary forward Brandon Kozun.
