Jones earns shutout as Calgary Hitmen blank Tri-City Americans 3-0 @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Martin Jones stopped all 35 shots he faced to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 3-0 win over the Tri-City Americans in Western Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.

Ian Schultz and Joel Broda scored for the Hitmen (33-16-2), who went 2-for-2 on the power play. Jimmy Bubnick added an empty net goal, while Tyler Shattock chipped in with a pair of assists.

After blanking the Oil Kings 7-0 in Edmonton on Friday night, the Americans (37-13-2) couldn't find a way to get any pucks past Jones in front of 11,472 fans at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

Tri-City goalie Alexander Pechurskiy made 29 saves.
