SEATTLE - Jonathan Parker broke a 2-2 tie with the game-winning goal in the second period to help the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 5-2 win over the Red Deer Rebels.
Devon LeBlanc gave Seattle an early lead with a goal 1:30 into the first period. Red Deer came back with goals from Cass Mappin and Landon Ferraro. Seattle made it 2-2 after one period on a goal by Brenden Silvester.
After Parker scored to make it 3-2, Seattle rookie Luke Lockhart scored the first goal of his WHL career at 8:03 of the third period to give the Thunderbirds a two-goal advantage. Prab Rai rounded out the scoring with his 12th of the season into an empty net.
Calvin Pickard made 18 saves for Seattle (6-10-1-1). Morgan Clark stopped 23 shots for Red Deer (6-11-0-5).
