Tickets On Sale Today; Usher, Taylor Kitsch To Emcee
- Platinum recording artists Jonas Brothers will headline the Verizon Wireless / NHL Rockin’ Skate 2008, Presented by Upper Deck on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Philips Arena in Atlanta. Global superstar Usher and Taylor Kitsch, star of NBC’s television series "Friday Night Lights," will emcee the 2008 NHL All-Star Weekend event. Proceeds from the event will benefit Usher’s New Look Foundation, a non-profit program established to expose young people to the business side of sports and entertainment.
Starting today, tickets will be available for purchase to Verizon Wireless / NHL Rockin' Skate 2008, Presented by Upper Deck. Tickets, which range from $10 to $30, will be available on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 404-249-6400. During the open team practices, Vancouver-born Kitsch will conduct on-ice interviews with Eastern Conference and Western Conference All-Stars.
Following the team practices, the New Jersey-reared siblings Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas will take the stage. The Jonas Brothers have become a phenomenon with one of the best success stories of the year. The 2008 NHL All-Star Weekend in Atlanta will feature live national broadcasts of the Dodge/NHL SuperSkills event on Saturday, Jan. 26 and the NHL All-Star Game on Sunday, Jan. 27 on VERSUS in the United States and CBC and RDS in Canada.
