Allen's past work includes his 2009 self-titled debut which features his breakout and platinum-selling single, "Live Like We're Dying." On August 12, 2014, he released his first independent album, "Horizons." Produced by Grammy-nominated Charlie Peacock (Switchfoot, The Civil Wars), Allen sharpened his songcraft and brought a bold openhearted spirit to his soulful brand of pop-rock including his first single "Prove It To You" featuring Nashville songstress Lenachka. "Horizons" brings a level of sophistication in Allen's melody-minded songwriting while fully tapping into his natural grace as a singer and guitarist. In addition to being a platinum recording and touring artist, Allen is also dedicated to using his position to raise awareness about a number of philanthropic causes including Music Empowers, World Vision, and Global Genes.
Symphony Silicon Valley – Pre-Game, Player Introductions and U.S. National Anthem
Symphony Silicon Valley, under the direction of Maestro Brian Allan Hobbs, will take the stage for pre-game performances, including player introductions and the U.S national anthem with Allen. Symphony Silicon Valley is the professional symphony orchestra of San Jose, Calif. Founded in 2002, the nonprofit company has progressed from a daring idea to rapidly become the greater South Bay's premiere orchestra and a notable community success story. The Symphony's artists, nationally recruited, locally resident, with an average performance tenure in San Jose of over 20 years, are recognized as among the best in the greater Bay Area. Led by an exciting roster of distinguished guest conductors on the European model, the Symphony is an anchor tenant of San Jose's magnificently restored downtown California Theatre, one of Northern California's most outstanding music halls.
John Fogerty – First Intermission
Often regarded as a true American treasure, rock legend and Bay Area native John Fogerty will perform during the first intermission. As leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty forged a distinctive, groundbreaking sound all his own: equal parts blues, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B, swamp boogie, and Southern fried rock 'n' roll, all united by his uniquely evocative lyrical perspective. Fogerty has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame and is a Grammy Award winner. Among Fogerty's many hit songs, both as a solo artist and as leader of CCR, highlights include "Centerfield," "Proud Mary," "Susie Q," "Fortunate Son," "Born on the Bayou," "Bad Moon Rising," and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," among many others. Fogerty will tease the crowd with a few songs from his upcoming "1969" World Tour which continues in the U.S. this May. The tour focuses on the music from the pivotal year when Fogerty wrote and recorded three separate albums with Creedence Clearwater Revival (Bayou Country, Green River, and Willy and the Poor Boys). Fogerty also will release his autobiography this fall.
Melissa Etheridge – Second Intermission
Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge will perform during the second intermission. With a career spanning almost 30 years and 12 albums, the platinum-selling artist is known for hits such as "Come To My Window", "I'm the Only One", "I Want To Come Over", "I Run For Life", and many more. Etheridge has won two Grammy Awards: 1993 - Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female for "Ain't It Heavy"; 1995 - Grammy Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female for "Come To My Window."
