ST. LOUIS - Magnus Johansson and Adam Burish scored short-handed goals in the third period as the Chicago Blackhawks came from two goals down to beat the St. Louis Blues 4-3 in an exhibition game Saturday night.
With the game tied at 3-3 and his team a man short, Kevyn Adams broke in on right wing and fired a shot at St. Louis goalie Manny Legace. The puck hit Legace, but trickled behind him and Burish tapped it in the open net with 16.1 seconds left to complete the comeback.
Chicago trailed 3-1 entering the third period, but got back in it when Johannson scored a short-handed goal at the 5:47 mark. The Blackhawks tied it on another special teams opportunity when Dave Bolland scored a power-play goal from in front with 2:33 remaining.
Yannick Perreault had the other goal for the Blackhawks, who are 3-3-1 in exhibition play. Chicago concludes its exhibition season with a game in Minnesota on Sunday night.
Doug Weight scored twice to lead St. Louis. David Backes had the other goal for the Blues, who finished the pre-season with a 2-5 mark.
Weight and Backes scored goals in the first 5:18 of play to give St. Louis a 2-0 lead. After Perreault scored for Chicago at 9:14 of the first period, Weight gave the Blues' their two-goal lead back when he converted another centring pass from Perron 2:38 into the second period to make it 3-1.
