It was nothing new for Ryan Johansen on Sunday morning, to a point. A team meeting, followed by a meal and a cup of ice cream to take back to his room to polish off before a nap.
But once the centerman exits the bus at Nationwide Arena this afternoon, he expects it to be a bit different than anything he's ever experienced before.
When the Preds and Jackets get together this evening, it'll be Johansen's first trip as a member of the visiting club since he was dealt to Nashville just more than a year ago, a return that has been a long time in the making.

"I feel like everybody's forgotten about it now and it's just another hockey game," Johansen laughed. "It's been a long time since the trade; it's been over a year, so I'm excited to get out there though. I think it'll be a fun game tonight for sure."
Johansen will no doubt say hello to familiar faces as he navigates through the event level of the arena to the visiting locker room, but once the puck drops, he'll have nothing more on his mind than he does every other night, no matter which building he's in.
"We know they're a great team, and they've had a lot of success already this year," Johansen said. "They have a lot of depth, some high-end talent, good goaltending, good defense; all around, they have a good hockey club. We're going to need 20 men out there playing some great hockey to be successful."
