SUDBURY, Ont. - Joel Vienneau made 24 saves Friday as the Sudbury Wolves shut out the Brampton Battalion 4-0 in the Ontario Hockey League.
Michael Sgarbossa had two goals and an assist for the Wolves (14-10-1), while Brody Silk and Josh McFadden each added a goal and an assist.
Andrey Kuchin chipped in with three assists of his own and Josh Leivo added two.
Matej Machovsky made 16 saves in taking the loss for the Battalion (14-10-4).
Sgarbossa opened the scoring at 10:17 of the first period off the cycle on a great feed from Silk.
McFadden added to the Wolves' lead on the power play at 9:32 of the second with a blistering point shot that beat Machovsky high.
Silk extended the lead at 14:31, beating Machovsky five-hole from in close.
Sgarbossa rounded out the scoring 53 seconds into the third when he walked in over the blue-line, beat two Battalion players and buried a backhand on the power play.
The Wolves finished the night 2-for-6 on the man advantage, while the Battalion wound up 0-for-8.
