The New Jersey Devils and Chicago Blackhawks honored late former teammate Jimmy Hayes on Friday. Hayes
died at age 31
in August.

Hayes played seven seasons with the Blackhawks, Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins and Devils. His final NHL season was 2017-18 with the Devils.
The team wore No. 10 jerseys with "Broadway," Hayes' nickname, written across the nameplate. They also wore special helmet decals.

The Devils shared a touching tribute video to Hayes' career on and off the ice.

The Blackhawks, who were visiting the Prudential Center, wore jerseys with his No. 39, which he wore for his NHL debut and two seasons in Chicago, and "Hayesy" on the back.

Members of the Philadelphia Flyers honored Jimmy Hayes with writing on their skates. Jimmy's brother, Kevin Hayes, is a member of the Flyers but currently out of the lineup due to an abdominal injury.

Flyers players had skates with "JRH" and a shamrock printed on one skate and "Be Like Jimmy" with a heart on the other.
