Forward Kyle Connor scored the game-winning goal and the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-1 in a preseason game at MTS Centre on Thursday.
Connor, the No. 17 pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, scored at 15:00 of the second period to give the Jets a 2-1 lead.
Forward Mathieu Perreault had a power-play goal and an assist and Chase De Leo and Josh Morrissey each had two assists. Goalie Connor Hellebuyck made 27 saves for Winnipeg.
Defenseman Matt Dumba scored 52 seconds into the second period and goalie Darcy Kuemper allowed four goals on 28 shots for Minnesota.
