ANA@WPG: Selanne, Numminen enter Jets Hall of Fame

Teemu Selanne and Teppo Numminen were enshrined in Winnipeg Jets history Thursday.

The Finnish stars were inducted into the Winnipeg Jets Hall of Fame in a special pregame ceremony at Canada Life Centre.
Selanne's No. 13 and Numminen's No. 27 were raised to the rafters before the Jets played the Anaheim Ducks.

The Hall of Famers also performed the ceremonial puck drop between Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler and Jets forward Saku Maenalanen.

"I think that it's a humble feeling to be here tonight. It's a big honor for sure," Selanne
told the Jets before the ceremony
. "It's so special to go and do this with Teppo. Obviously, Teppo was a huge factor for me when I came here. He was like an older brother for me at the time when I came here."
Selanne played four seasons with the Jets from 1992-96 and had 306 points (147 goals, 159 assists) in 231 games.
Numminen played eight seasons with Winnipeg from 1988-96 and had 265 points (53 goals, 212 assists) in 547 games.
