Jets ready to see if hard work has paid off

The Winnipeg Jets talked before training camp started about being in better shape this season in order to push the pace during games.

They get the chance to put that into practice Monday when they play their preseason opener against the Minnesota Wild.

"Just that pace we've had the first three days of practice," Jets captain Andrew Ladd said. "That's the goal, have that translate into games. We know there's going to be mistakes and guys playing with new people. We're alright with making mistakes if we're working the way we have to work."
