The Winnipeg Jets place goaltender Ondrej Pavelec on injured reserve Tuesday, retroactive to Feb. 7, because of a lower-body injury.

Pavelec is 4-4-0 with a 3.55 goals-against average and .888 save percentage in eight games since being recalled from Manitoba of the American Hockey League. He was injured during Winnipeg's 4-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild one week ago.

The Jets also have goaltender Connor Hellebuyck and Michael Hutchinson on the roster.

They recalled defenseman Julian Melchiori from the AHL on Tuesday.
