I was front and center at tonight’s game. I usually sit right behind the Ducks bench but this time I was directly behind the San Jose bench. I would have felt like a traitor had I not been surrounded by cheering Ducks fans!
The game was pretty dull and nothing exciting happened. You know, pretty much the usual. HA! Kidding! It was one of the best games I have ever been to! Right off the mark, Ryan Getzlaf
gets into a fight. Honestly I was a little annoyed with the fight. He is way too valuable of a player to spend five minutes in the penalty box. It ended up being ok though.
It was definitely a dirty game with a lot of penalties and plenty of fights. Who saw Corey Perry
being dragged along the ice on his stomach by his skates!? I'm not going to lie, I found it rather amusing. Should there have been a call on that?
had another amazing game at the Honda Center. That guy is seriously on it this year. I know I’ve said it before, but I can't praise him enough! San Jose had some nice opportunities to score and Jonas Hiller
just wouldn't let them through.
It was funny to see three or four players in the penalty box at any given time for fighting throughout the majority of the game. Gotta love Playoff hockey!
I'm kind of glad we lost Game Five now! SORRY…SORRY!! But I do! It’s for my own selfish reasons. Had we won Game Five, I wouldn't have had the chance to see this game! I may be a little overly excited right now, so excuse my enthusiasm! If you've ever been to a hockey game (which I assume everyone reading this blog has!) then you understand!
So now Detroit. We are playing great right now but I have to admit it…I'm nervous. What are the predictions from all of you out there? How do you think we will do? What are you most nervous/excited about for this next round?
