Jerome Samson scores shootout winner for St. John's in 4-3 win over Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Jerome Samson scored once in regulation and again in the shootout as the St. John's IceCaps edged the Binghamton Senators 4-3 in American Hockey League play Saturday.

Carl Klingberg forced extra time for St. John's (11-9-3) with a goal in the final minute of the third period. Andrew Gordon also scored and Eric O'Dell added another in the shootout.

Mike Hoffman scored in regulation and the shootout for the Senators (14-6-1), who also had goals during the game from Stephane Da Costa and David Dziurzynski.

Jussi Olkinuora stopped 36 shots in net for the IceCaps, while Binghamton goalie Andrew Hammond countered with 37 saves.
