OSHAWA, Ont. - Boone Jenner scored twice on Friday night to lead the Oshawa Generals to a 4-2 victory over the Ottawa 67's in Ontario Hockey League play.
The Oshawa (12-10-3) captain scored once in the first to erase a 1-0 Ottawa lead and added another on a power play late in the second period.
Oshawa's other goals were scored by forward Scott Laughton, who was playing in just his second game back from serving a 10-game suspension, and Tyler Biggs.
Laughton's goal came just 15 seconds after Jenner's first goal in the opening period, while the goal from Biggs was into an empty net late in the third.
Geoffrey Schemitch collected a pair of assists for Oshawa.
Both of Ottawa's (7-16-2) goals came on the power play, the first from Dante Salituro in the opening period and the other off the stick of Cody Ceci in the third.
Daniel Altshuller was steady in a 21-save effort for the win as Clint Windsor stopped 37 shots in a losing cause.
Prior to the game it was announced that the 67's would be without star forward and leading scorer Sean Monahan due to a 10-game suspension. The ban stemmed from a head-checking penalty assessed during a recent game against the Plymouth Whalers on Nov. 18th.
