Jeffrey scores goal and assist as Greyhounds edge Spirit 2-1 in Game Two @NHLdotcom

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Dustin Jeffrey scored a goal and an assist as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds defeated the Saginaw Spirit 2-1 on Monday to take a 2-0 lead in their Western Conference OHL quarter-final.

Josh Godfrey had the other goal for the Greyhounds, a power-play marker in the first period that became the eventual winner.

Chris Chappell replied for Saginaw.

Kyle Gajewski made 19 of 20 saves for the Greyhounds, who outshot the Spirit 34-20.

Ryan Daniels stopped 32 of 24 in the loss.

Game Three is Wednesday in Saginaw, Mich.
