Pittsburgh Penguins third-string goalie Jeff Zatkoff will be keeping his own blog throughout the course of the Stanley Cup Final. Zatkoff will check in after games and on some of the off days in between games.
Here is Zatkoff's latest blog, which he filed Wednesday night in advance of Game 5:
CRANBERRY, Pa. -- The travel home on Tuesday was uneventful but long. By the time we touched down, it was already past 5:00, so most of our day off was spent traveling. For me, the hardest part about going from coast to coast is trying to fall asleep at night. I am pretty sure I tossed and turned in bed for at least three hours, but half that time may have been spent trying to dodge my wife's unnecessarily large body pillow.

Practice on Wednesday went well. We didn't go long, but the energy and pace was good. Coming to the rink during the Stanley Cup Playoffs is fun. Over the course of the season, it can drag on, but playoffs breathes new life into everyone. I can honestly say I think every guy looks forward to coming to the rink right now. It is good to be playing hockey in June.
After practice, I was lucky enough to enjoy a Starbucks with my good pal Phil Kessel. It actually was not planned, but nonetheless delightful.

It was my wife's birthday Wednesday. We went out to dinner (just like every other night), and as we finished up dessert, I couldn't help but think about Sidney Crosby.
People always ask me, "What's Sid like? What makes Sid so great?" Well, I do believe I have found the secret to his success.
It's dessert.
He loves dessert, and it has been the driving force behind our playoff push.
From Magnolia Bakery in New York, to Georgetown Cupcakes, he refuses to be denied.
So if you're ever questioning that dessert at the end of dinner, just remember, Sidney Crosby would ... and it has worked out well for him.
