Pageau fined for actions in Senators game against Penguins

Forward assessed $2,500 for roughing Malkin

NEW YORK -- Ottawa Senators forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau has been fined $2,500 for roughing Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin during NHL Game No. 612 in Pittsburgh on Monday, Dec. 30, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 19:40 of the third period. Pageau was assessed a minor penalty for roughing.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
