Forward Jason Zucker signed a two-year, $4 million contract with the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday.
Zucker, 24, would have become a restricted free agent Friday.
Selected by the Wild in the second round (No. 59) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Zucker had 13 goals and 23 points in 71 games this season, and set NHL career highs in games played, assists (10), shots (158), hits (83) and takeaways (40). He had two assists in a six-game loss to the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
