ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Jason Krog scored in regulation and twice in shootout as the Manitoba Moose edged the Rochester Americans 3-2 on Friday in AHL action.
It was the Moose's fifth win over the Americans this season, and puts them atop the North Division at 31-13-0-2. The Americans scored first on the power play, when at 11:42 Randall Gelech went top-shelf on Moose goalie Curtis Sanford to earn his first of the season.
The Moose responded six minutes later when Alexandre Bolduc broke through the Amerks defence and flew past them on a breakaway to knot the game at one heading into the second.
The Moose went ahead early in the second when an initial pass from Jason Jaffray was completed by Krog to put the visitors on top, 2-1.
Rochester's David Brine evened it in the third when he beat Sanford on a penalty shot at 8:36.
Mike Brodeur was solid in net for the Americans, stopping 35 of 37 shots.
