Jason Krog has two goals, assist, as Moose defeat Bulldogs 4-3 @NHLdotcom

HAMILTON - Jason Krog scored two goals, including the game-winner with less than two minutes in regulation, as the Manitoba Moose beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-3 in American Hockey League action on Wednesday.

Shaun Heshka and Jason Jaffray also scored as the Moose went 3-for-5 on the power play. Brock Trotter, Olivier Latnedresse and Shawn Belle replied for Hamilton.

Manitoba opened the scoring when Ryan Russell was called for hooking. Heshka took a pass from Mark Cullen and fired a slapshot past Marc Denis for his first goal of the season.

Jaffray put Manitoba up 2-0 with another Moose power-play goal. Krog's initial shot was stopped by Denis before Jaffray buried the rebound.

Trotter beat Moose goaltender Cory Schneider to cut Manitoba's lead to 2-1, then Latendresse tied the game with one second left in the first period, beating Schneider with a slapshot from the blue-line.

Krog put Manitoba up 3-2 with another Manitoba power play goal, accounting for all of the scoring in the second period.

The Bulldogs tied it with Belle's power-play goal in the third period, but Krog capped the scoring with his second goal and third point of the night to give the Moose the victory.

Schneider made 33 saves for the Moose (30-13-0-2) while Denis stopped 25 shots for the Bulldogs (26-16-2-0).
